Extended Collaboration #1: Privileging the Picture Plane

For this collaboration, students worked in collaboration (in groups of three) to make an object that incorporated both alphabetic and non-alphabetic visual information. The students were instructed to privilege the "text" plane, meaning that the objects should be in the form of those sites traditionally used for alphabetic information: Books, letters, parking tickets, what have you.
